Happy Sunday, book nerds!
I hope you all have had a wonderful weekend! Although I haven’t devoted much time to reading/blogging over the past two days, I did keep myself pretty busy. On Friday I went to dinner with my hubby to celebrate his first week of school and spent the rest of the evening watching episodes of Murder House to catch him up to Apocalypse. On Saturday we spent the first half of the day devoted to chores (walking the dog, mowing the lawn, laundry, etc) and then spent the evening exploring Grapefest with my parents. We bought silly paintings of our dogs, ate some delicious Mexican food, and closed the evening with a Don Felder-led Eagles-esque concert. Today’s devoted to football, recovery, and prepping for Contemporary-a-thon 2018!
Hosted by the lovely Pages and Pens, Chelseadolling reads, and Myreadingisodd this readathon seems right up my alley! Consisting of seven challenges (see below) Contemporary-a-thon officially starts TOMORROW (Monday Sept. 17) and runs through Sunday (Sept. 23). And while several of my selections would fit multiple challenges, I’m going to do my best to actually read #SevenBooksInSevenDays! Wish me luck and check out my selections below!
1) Read a contemporary with orange on the cover.
Sloppy Firsts by Megan McCafferty
2) Read a contemporary that’s dark, taboo, or spooky.
All the Rage by Courtney Summers
3) Read a diverse contemporary.
The Seven Husbands of Evelyn Hugo by Taylor Jenkins Reid
4) Read a contemporary in a non-traditional format (audio, etc).

All the Ugly and Wonderful Things by Bryn Greenwood
5) Read a contemporary with your initials on the cover.
The Simple Wild by K.A. Tucker. Hits all 4 required letters: T, R, W, & S!
6) Read a contemporary by a new-to-you author.
The Exact Opposite of Okay by Laura Steven
7) Read a five-star-prediction contemporary.
Foolish Hearts by Emma Mills
Seven challenges. Seven selections. Do you think I can swing #7in7? Are you participating in Contemporary-A-Thon 2018?? If so, what are YOU reading for the challenge? Did we share any titles? Let me know below!
And, as always: Happy Reading!
Good luck!

Nope, I won’t be partaking as I don’t read that many contemporaries and am focusing on all my spooky reads for my overly ambitious October schedule!
