That’s A Wrap: 2019 Edition

Happy New Year, Booknerds!

I know it’s been a shamefully long time since I last updated this beautiful blog, but slumps are real. And they hit hard.

Luckily, my reading picked up toward the end of the year, so the evil slump monster didn’t completely destroy my bookish powers. 🙌

I have several goals for 2020, and one of my big ones is to be able to maintain BOTH my reading AND my blogging! So here’s hoping that monster stays slain throughout the upcoming year!

For those of you who stuck with me, I love and appreciate you more than words can say. For those of you who are just joining this crazy show, welcome. I’m sure I’ll grow to love you too. 😉

I could say more, but we’ve got a lot to cover so let’s dive into my 2019 Year in Review, shall we??Screen Shot 2020-01-01 at 9.33.04 PMLike many of you, I track my reading progress throughout the year via Goodreads and their annual “Reading Challenge.” I really wanted to push myself in 2019, and although I didn’t get as many books under my belt as I originally hoped, I did reach a personal best:Screen Shot 2020-01-01 at 5.56.49 PMAcross the 90 books I was able to read in 2019, I discovered some new favorites, finished some beloved series, and encountered a few that aren’t even worthy of a “worst of” list. Ultimately, they averaged a 3.6 Star rating (out of 5) and 352 pages. Continue scrolling for a quick breakdown by month!Screen Shot 2020-01-01 at 9.33.04 PM

And that’s a wrap for 2019, y’all! Thanks so much for checking out how my reading progressed throughout the year. Here’s hoping 2020 brings us all our favorite reads yet and some solid defenses against the dreaded slump monster!

If you’ve read any of these titles, or think I got my ratings wrong, let me know below! I’m always down to discuss all things books! Have a great year, guys! And as always: Happy Reading!
