Happy New Year, Booknerds!
I know it’s been a shamefully long time since I last updated this beautiful blog, but slumps are real. And they hit hard.
Luckily, my reading picked up toward the end of the year, so the evil slump monster didn’t completely destroy my bookish powers. 🙌
I have several goals for 2020, and one of my big ones is to be able to maintain BOTH my reading AND my blogging! So here’s hoping that monster stays slain throughout the upcoming year!
For those of you who stuck with me, I love and appreciate you more than words can say. For those of you who are just joining this crazy show, welcome. I’m sure I’ll grow to love you too. 😉
I could say more, but we’ve got a lot to cover so let’s dive into my 2019 Year in Review, shall we??Like many of you, I track my reading progress throughout the year via Goodreads and their annual “Reading Challenge.” I really wanted to push myself in 2019, and although I didn’t get as many books under my belt as I originally hoped, I did reach a personal best:
Across the 90 books I was able to read in 2019, I discovered some new favorites, finished some beloved series, and encountered a few that aren’t even worthy of a “worst of” list. Ultimately, they averaged a 3.6 Star rating (out of 5) and 352 pages. Continue scrolling for a quick breakdown by month!
You had a great reading year Taylor! I wish you nothing but great reads in 2020!

Aw, thanks, Kal! I’m feeling really good about how my reading wrapped up in 2019 and I’m hoping I can transfer all those positive vibes into the blog/booksta in 2020!
